MAL Updater build 4607
New
- My Anime now shows what is playing: when a new file plays, the list goes to its tab and selects its row. In another section you stay where you are, and the row is ready when you go back. On by default; turn it off in Settings > Detection.
- Choose what the sidebar shows: hide any section in Settings or with a right click. That now includes My Anime, for those who only read manga. One list always stays.
- Covers: you can now use JPEG XL (.jxl) pictures as covers.
- Linux: new color schemes in Settings > Theme and display, shown as preview cards. They apply instantly, no restart.
- Linux: "Follow the system" uses your desktop's colors (KDE color scheme or GTK theme), read when MAL Updater starts.
Torrents
- Auto-send now downloads one copy of each episode. Once a copy has gone to qBittorrent, other copies are no longer wanted. You can still send one by hand.
- New "Why" column, next to the episode, says why each release is wanted or not.
- When nothing is wanted, Torrents now tells you what it is looking for.
Fixes
- Toolbars no longer overlap or get cut off in a small window. They wrap onto more rows, starting from the left, on Windows and Linux.
- Settings: Apply now takes effect immediately, then greys out until you change something else.
- Linux: a cover picture now closes when you click outside it.
- Linux: restarting from inside Settings (zoom) now works straight away.
- Windows: player detection no longer opens other running programs to read their names, and no longer mistakes programs that share a common window type for video players. This may help if a game's anti-cheat reported MAL Updater.
- The window no longer freezes while the library scan waits on a slow network share.
- Detection: a video ignored as outside your library folders is now picked up while it plays, without a restart, once you add its folder, set a folder for that entry, or turn off the library-only setting. Windows and Linux.
